Bubble Gum King Miguel Montero walks-off for the D-backs, says they'll make history
The Diamondbacks and Rockies treated Phoenicians to some free baseball on Wednesday night, allowing Miguel Montero to send the crowd home happy by launching a 10th-inning pitch deep into the right-field seats.
As is customary with Arizona tradition, Montero's fellow D-backs crowned him the Bubble Gum King during the post-game interview.
The walk-off win would have been exciting enough, but it's especially energizing when the guy who hit it slides into home and offers a little cherry on top, promising to "make history" on the forthcoming 10-game road trip, all while wearing a bucket of bubble gum on his head.
