Let's become BFFs with the Rockies and listen to Carlos Gonzalez talk about 'My Little Pony'

Rockies discuss walk-up music, 'My Little Pony'

When the Rockies were in town to face the Mets in early August, Carlos Gonzalez, DJ LeMahieu and Ben Paulsen stopped by MLB Network to talk about the greatest issues facing our society today.

Kidding! They actually just hit a bunch of balls with a giant purple plastic bat:

The trio also took some time to sit in a fake dugout and chat with MLB.com for a moment. Paulsen claimed his beard was better than Charlie Blackmon's, but if Paulsen's clean-shaven face from last Friday's game tells us anything, it's that Blackmon has superior beard upkeep skills. LeMahieu said he lets Nolan Arenado pick all of his walk-up music (why Arenado has yet to prank him Joc Pederson-style is anyone's guess), and both Paulsen and LeMahieu agreed that Gonzalez is the best dancer.

But if you really want to feel like you're getting to know the Rockies, click play on the video at the top of the post to know why Gonzalez used to be called "Little Pony" and if it has anything to do with the popular TV show. Even if it doesn't (spoiler alert: it totally does), watching this interview will still prove that friendship is magic. (Oh man, we're so sorry. So, so sorry.)
