Carlos Martinez launches investigation to find out who ruined his epic stack of cups

In the MLB justice system, pranks that occur in the dugout are considered especially rude. On the St. Louis baseball club, the pitchers who investigate these crimes are members of an elite squad known as the Cardinals starting rotation. These are their stories.

Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez occasionally fancies himself an architect. From time to time, if you're paying attention to what's going on in the team's dugout, you'll see Martinez plying his trade, stacking cups into epic towers that rival the greatest skyscrapers in the world's most modern cities.

On Friday, Martinez was again building a masterpiece and had to dedicate as much energy to protecting it as he did to constructing it. Fellow starters Michael Wacha and Adam Wainwright were loitering a little to close for comfort, but that might have just been a diversion because, when Martinez turned to give Wacha a stern talking to, someone used a projectile to take out the structure's foundation and undo all of Martinez's hard work:

Looks like he'll have to canvas the area for witnesses and try to sweat the culprit out in the box.
