Cleveland nabbed an AL Wild Card spot thanks in part a dynamic offense led by Carlos Santana and first-time All-Star Jason Kipnis, becoming the first team since 1961 to sweep seven four-game series along the way.

As strong they were on the field, the Indians proved to be equally entertaining off it. Here are five favorite moments from the Tribe's 2013 season:

5. New skipper Terry Francona got lost not once, not twice, but three times on his way to the Indians' 2013 home opener -- despite the fact that his apartment is two blocks from Progressive Field. Plus, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Tito's MLB debut, we suggested a few new hairdos for the famously bald manager.

4. When the Indians selected Clint Frazier with the No. 5 pick of the 2013 Draft, they knew they'd found a fast, smart player with power at the plate. The gloriously Weasley-esque red hair and Taylor Swift impression were an added bonus.

3. The Indians demonstrated their fondness for throwing sunflower seeds at each other -- on multiple occasions. It's actually kind of amazing that hundreds of sunflowers haven't sprouted in their dugout.

2. It may have been his first season in Cleveland, but that didn't deter Nick Swisher from bringing the bro -- the team even hosted a BRO-H-I-O T-shirt giveaway.

1. In what may be a publicity stunt for the weirdest Air Bud spinoff yet, a chicken joined the Indians on the field for BP in September.

So, what can we expect from the Indians in October? A few predictions:

  • The skies above Progressive Field will open and three tons of delicious sunflower seeds will rain down upon the Cleveland faithful.

  • Win or lose the Wild Card Game, Ryan Raburn will personally shatter every TV in St. Petersburg.

  • Nick Swisher will be elected Governor of Brohio. The state will then secede from the union and found a new country, the United States of Bromerica.
