Cleveland's Double-A team are now the 'Akron RubberDucks'

The Indians' Double-A affiliate, the erstwhile Akron Aeros, have a new name: the Akron RubberDucks.

The new identity reflects the city of Akron's history as the "Rubber Capital of the World." While no one knows for sure, there's a good chance that the first buoyant yellow ducks toys that would become Sesame Street-approved American icons were made in Akron.

But of course, these aren't your childhood orange-skinned muppet pal's rubber ducks. These RubberDucks have a ferocious-looking logo -- a fierce take on a seemingly benign creature that calls to mind the University of Oregon's shortlived "Roboduck" mascot. The logo also incorporates tire tracks, paying tribute to the product that historically was the key component of Akron's rubber industry.

So, are you a fan of the RubberDucks name? Or should they have stuck with Aeros (or gone with something else)?
