As you mourn the passing of Ernie Banks, here's Mr. Cub himself with Pearl Jam at Wrigley Field

R.I.P. Mr. Cub: Here's Ernie Banks with Pearl Jam

Hall of Famer Ernie Banks died on Friday at the age of 83. Mr. Cub starred in 19 seasons at Wrigley Field as he accumulated more than 2,500 hits and belted 512 home runs, cementing himself as one of the game's greats.

While he'll always be revered across all of baseball, the Northside will forever reserve a soft spot in its heart for No. 14. As you mourn the loss of Banks, we'd like to remind you of the time in 2013 when he joined Pearl Jam on Stage at Wrigley Field to sing the Cubbies anthem "All the Way".

The song was written at the behest of Banks and recorded by Eddie Vedder before the Pearl Jam frontman made an appearance at Cubs Fantasy Camp in 2007. It was eventually released as a solo single the following year.
