Did @MLB jinx Jarrod Parker's no-hit bid?

The debate about broadcasters mentioning a no-hitter in progress has raged for decades. But this here is the Wild West of social media, and there's no sheriff in Twittertown.

Stephen Bishop -- who played David Justice in Moneyball -- seems to think that @MLB's no-hitter alert was directly related to Michael Young's eighth-inning single on Monday night. Plenty of fellow Tweeps agreed.

But a case can be made that it was actually Parker's own hanging slider, and not 140 characters typed 2,908 miles from the Oakland Coliseum, that ended the rookie's shot at history.

So what do think -- is it bad luck to mention a no-hitter on Twitter? Or would you rather see all the news that's fit to type?
