Ender Inciarte cares nothing for your base hit, just throws out runner from right field

Inciarte barehands, throws out baserunner on single

Baseball is founded on certain agreed-upon conventions -- some a bit weirder than others, yes, but without which America's pastime would devolve into utter chaos ruled by the whims of an impartial universe and ... well, that's pretty much what we've ended up with anyway, but you get our point. Adorable babies do not justify fan interference, spectators may not inject themselves into the proceedings via banana peel; this is what separates man from mascot.

Case in point: Baseballs that reach the outfield on a bounce are generally regarded as base hits. D-backs right fielder Ender Inciarte, however, cares nothing for your social contract. Where some may see a single, he just sees a ground ball that doesn't know it yet:

Inciarte force out

Now that the fabric holding the game together has been disrupted, anything is fair game. Do balls over the fence even count as home runs anymore? Will there be more than three outs? We can only imagine what will follow in this dark new world -- or, to put it another way, "Baseball If Andrelton Simmons Were an Outfielder."
