Fan looks very smooth catching Vernon Wells' homer in his hat

Bring a glove to the ballpark? Pshaw. How dreadfully ordinary. You don't need a glove to make an awesome catch.

Look at this guy: no glove, no problem.

HatCatch

Why bring a glove when you've already got a perfectly good catching tool on your head? Just doff the cap, give it a flick of the wrist and voila -- you've got yourself a caught home run ball. Easy as pie.

I mean, CarGo didn't catch it, and he has a glove. I'm just saying.

"The ball was way over CarGo's head! He had no chance of catching it! No one could have caught it! That's the very definition of a home run," you say?

OK. Fine, I'll grant you that premise. But even if he had caught it, he wouldn't have looked as slick as Mr. Blue Windbreaker. You know why?

The hat.

He tracks that thing right into his hat and doesn't move an inch. That guy's a hero. A real hero.
