Giants prospect Adam Duvall's first hit was a homer
The first day at a new job can be a little tricky. Will you make friends with your new colleagues? Will you successfully navigate the break room refrigerator politics? Will Tim Lincecum throw his second career no-hitter as you watch from the dugout?
Okay, that last one is a bit unlikely … unless you're San Francisco prospect Adam Duvall, who was called up on Tuesday after center fielder Angel Pagan was put on the DL. On his first day on the job, he arrived at AT&T Park just in time to witness Lincecum's feat.
On his second, he notched his first Major League hit. Oh, and it was a home run:
In fact, Duvall was the only member of the Giants to score in Thurday's 3-1 loss to the Reds. Just like anyone's first week, right?
