Grandpa Matz returns to Citi Field for grandson's NLDS start, talks newfound fame

Grandpa Matz returns to Citi Field for NLDS Game 4

Remember Steven Matz's grandpa? Back in June, he took the Internet world by storm by, well, doing what grandpas are supposed to do -- cheering their grandsons on at their baseball games:

And during Matz's postseason debut in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Dodgers on Tuesday, Bert Moller, aka Grandpa Matz, was back at Citi Field. Unfortunately, the rookie lost to a very dominant Clayton Kershaw  in the Dodgers' 3-1 win -- leaving the elder Matz with little to get REALLY excited about.

Before the game got underway, we did catch up with him for a quick interview in which he talked about his newfound fame and the hordes of "Grandpa Matz" fans waiting for him upon his arrivals to Citi Field.

Check it out in the main video above.
