It took the Twins' Triple-A team more than two weeks to throw this no-hitter

Minor League no-hitter took two weeks to complete

Back on July 24, Twins pitcher Trevor May started and threw three no-hit innings for the Rochester Red Wings before the game was suspended due to rain. Minnesota's Triple-A affiliate resumed that game on Monday and May's former teammate Logan Darnell finished the Durham Bulls off with six no-hit innings of his own, completing one of the stranger no-nos in baseball history.

May walked two batters in his three innings of work in Durham, N.C., and Darnell walked one over his six innings in Rochester, N.Y.

The contest is the second combined no-hitter in Red Wings history, but the first that covered 18 days and two cities.

As if that wasn't strange enough, catcher Dan Rohlfing caught all nine innings of the game, but recorded a save between the first and second acts of this entertaining drama.
