Jason Heyward battles sun, makes incredible no-look catch

Jason Heyward battles sun, makes no-look catch

Sometimes, when you're an outfielder, the sun will try to stop you from catching fly balls. We're not sure if it hates baseball, is too lazy to get out of the way or is just a fan of complete chaos. You can go ask it yourself if you're so curious. But we do know that it'll sit there staring into your eyes for most of the afternoon. So what do you do?

Well, you can stare back at it and try your best to make the catch or you can be like Jason Heyward during Saturday's Royals-Cardinals game: Don't look at the ball at all and trust your Gold Glove.

MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch caught up with Heyward after the game:

"I saw it off the bat, and that was the last time I saw it until I went to throw it in," Heyward said. "You just hope. You just hope. That one found me, and thank God it did ..."

At long last, baseball players are fighting back against the giant ball of fire that has been giving life and taking away fly balls for 4.6 billion years.
