Joc Pederson saves the Dodgers with amazing catch, goes full Wile E. Coyote on center-field wall

Joc Pederson crashes into wall after robbing Upton

With San Diego and L.A. tied in the bottom of the ninth with two Padres on and two outs, it's hard to know what visions of joy were dancing through Justin Upton's head as he launched what was sure to be a walk-off hit to deep center. The best route to take to avoid the postgame Gatorade bath, maybe. Perhaps whether he and brother/teammate Melvin should bust out that celebratory dance number they've been working on.

Whatever it may have been, It's safe to say that "Joc Pederson almost running through the center-field wall to make a game-saving catch" did not enter the picture. But unfortunately for Justin Upton, Joc Pederson is not of this world, and he cares nothing for your hopes and dreams:

Pederson catch

Pederson's heroics sent the game to extras, where the Dodgers would eventually win, 4-2. I guess we'll just have to wait a little longer for "Step Up 14: Melvin and Justin Take San Diego."
