Fernando Rodney has recorded all of the Mariners' saves this season except one. Fans have grown accustomed to seeing his trademark arrow-fired-to-the-sky celebration that indicates a win:
But since Rodney pitched on Friday night and the Mariners' game against the A's on Saturday wasn't a save situation, Joe Beimel took the mound in the ninth inning instead. Not that it made a difference: Beimel finished the game out in four batters and preserved the Mariners' 7-2 win. As such, he celebrated just as Rodney would have:
Does this mean Beimel has started taking naps in the clubhouse, too?
