Jose Bautista tried to put the Blue Jays on his back with two monster home runs in Game 6

Joey Bats cranked two monster HRs in Game 6

When your ALDS performance included an epic game-winning home run in the decisive Game 5 and a bat flip that lit the world on fire, what can you possible draw up for a sequel?

How about two monster home runs in an ALCS elimination game? Because that's exactly what Jose Bautista dialed up in Game 6 against the Royals when he went yard in the fourth and eighth innings.

Bautista's Jays were down, 2-0, when he stepped up to the plate with the bases empty in the top of the fourth and deposited a ball deep into the left-field seats:

Statcast projected the distance of Bautista's first home run at 431 feet, though the net distance traveled was more like 250 feet after the fan who caught it threw it back onto the field.

Then, in the eighth, with the Jays trailing, 3-1, Joey Bats stepped right up and doubled his pleasure, doubled his fun with a two-run homer to left:

That homer traveled an estimated 387 feet, meaning that Bautista hit himself 818 total feet of home runs in Game 6. Unfortunately for Mr. Bats, Game 6 ended while he was in the on-deck circle because Josh Donaldson grounded to third base for the final out of a 4-3 Royals win.

The Royals will host the Mets at Kauffman Stadium for Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday on FOX, with an air time of 7:30 p.m. ET and game time set for 8 ET.
