Ken Griffey Jr. and his sweet swing retired on this day three years ago

The swing. That smile. The Kid.

Ken Griffey Jr. retired on this day back in 2010, ending a 22-year career that saw 630 homers, 10 consecutive Gold Gloves, an MVP Award and 13 All-Star appearances. Numbers that could've been even more unbelievable had Junior not suffered a string of bad injuries in the early 2000s.

And as the above video shows, Griffey had a distinct swing, charm and love for the game to go along with these stats. A special combination that's rare to find.
