12 years ago today, Ken Griffey, Jr. hit a walk-off, inside-the-park home run

On August 20, 2001 -- the birthday of opposing Cardinals pitcher Andy Benes -- Ken Griffey, Jr. clinched a 5-4 win for the Reds with a walk-off, inside-the-park home run. Like a finely aged wine (or scotch, or cheddar, or mint-condition, tags-on Beanie Baby), it's only gotten better with the passage of time.

Best remembered for his 13 stellar seasons in Seattle, the legendary center fielder was inducted into the Mariners Hall of Fame earlier this month. As for this homer, we'll defer to Dave Niehaus -- via Junior's former teammate Ichiro Suzuki:
