As you can see, baseball's youth movement is more than well under way, but that doesn't mean that the next generation of young stars aren't already honing their craft and dropping jaws with their power.
Chris Bernal is a 12-year-old slugger from Texas. He and his Team Citius qualified to compete in the National Youth Baseball Championships at Baseball Heaven (yes, it's a real place) on Long Island.
After winning his age group's Home Run Derby on Friday, hitting 5-of-8 chances out of the yard in the final round.

Then, on Saturday, Bernal stepped in the box and hit a home run during live action that cleared the center-field wall and hit a moving car.
It's not like we're thinking Bernal should grace a Sports Illustrated cover in the next couple of years, but it might not be a bad idea for scouts to keep an eye on the kid. You know the kid's got talent when he can hit a home run off some guy's car and even that guy is excited about what he saw.
