Listen to Vin Scully tell a splendid Dodgers holiday tale

Listen to Vin Scully tell a Dodgers holiday tale

There is a specific recipe to creating a classic holiday story: A little winter whimsy, a crisis that needs to be solved using holiday magic and a venerable voice to tell the tale. That last one is especially important. "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer," for example, has Burl Ives as Sam the Snowman:

The Dodgers' new holiday story, which you can watch above, has all the ingredients to become an instant classic. It follows the adventures of bobbleheads Justin Turner and Adrian Gonzalez as they travel up to the North Pole to rescue garden gnome Tommy Lasorda, who has been mistaken for one of Santa's elves. And it's all told by the most venerable voice of them all, Vin Scully:

Oh, and did we mention the bobblehead caroling?

We have a feeling families are going to gather around the yule log to watch this for many holidays to come.
