Madison Bumgarner wants in on the Home Run Derby
NL Home Run Derby captain Troy Tulowitzki has a lot of options for his squad. Stanton? Goldschmidt? Puig? Tulo's job got a little more difficult when another All-Star threw his hat into the ring Sunday night: Giants starter Madison Bumgarner.
Bumgarner said he "put a word in" with Tulo about home run derby. "I haven't heard back."

MadBum isn't the first pitcher to campaign, seriously or otherwise, for a spot in the Derby. But there's reason to believe that if given the chance, the 6-5, 235 lb Bumgarner could put on a legitimate show. The country-strong North Carolinian crushed a grand slam in April:

Bum has something else going for him in this campaign: Three out of his four career homers came against Colorado. So what do you say, Tulo?
