Max Scherzer has a problem with a crossword clue about himself

Let's see if we can solve seven down in yesterday's USA Today crossword. The clue is "Max Scherzer's pride," and it's three letters long. Could it be … ERA? Or FIP? Let's just write that, no, who are we kidding, this is USA Today, not the New York Times or Sabermetrics Monthly. The correct answer? "ARM."

Too bad Max doesn't agree:

DIC refers to Scherzer's characteristic dichromatic eyes. It's certainly a trait unique to him among Major League pitchers, but c'mon, Max. Your arm got you a Cy Young and your eyes got you this:
