Six years ago Sunday, pitcher Micah Owings smashed two homers in one game

On August 18, 2007, the D-backs' Micah Owings did something no pitcher has done since: He hit two home runs in one game.

It was a banner night all around for the then-rookie Owings. He went 4-for-4, knocked in six runs, earned a win after allowing three earned runs in seven innings -- and did it all in front of friends and family in his native Georgia.

With an .813 career OPS in MLB, Owings' hitting talent seems to rival his pitching skills. Accordingly, he's now in the Brewers' minor league system, pitching and trying his hand at being an outfielder too.
