Mike Piazza got inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame
John Franco, Edgardo Alfonzo and Keith Hernandez were on-hand to induct Mike Piazza into the Mets Hall of Fame on Sunday. The Queens crowd cheered loudly for their former catcher during the pregame ceremony, a sound he's heard many, many times before.
Piazza played with the Mets from 1998-2005, finishing with 220 homers and a .296/.373/.542 slash line. His 427 long balls are also most all-time among big league backstops.
