Orioles Wives team up for a good cause

Maria Wieters, wife of catcher Matt, and the Orioles Wives are taking part in the 26th annual Food and Funds Drive at Camden Yards.

Over the course of the weekend series against the Phillies, the women, along with community groups, have teamed up to help those in need in the Baltimore area.

The grassroots movement can be seen at all entrances of the park, but there is also an online component. The individual who donates the most online will be recognized by the Orioles with the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Sunday’s game.

This endeavor is yet another OriolesREACH commitment to the community. This arm of the organization extends out to neighborhoods across the Baltimore region, helping fans improve their lives.
