An NPB team decided to raise the themed-uniform stakes, wore these wild animal jerseys

An NPB team wore awesome animal-themed jerseys

Minor League teams have seemingly made a game of one-upmanship to see who can wear the most bonkers jerseys throughout the season. In 2015 alone, we've seen players take the field adorned in SpongeBob and Jumanji-themed duds. But little did MiLB clubs know that the one of the boldest claims to awesome-est jerseys in 2015 would come not from their own ranks, but thousands of miles away.

The Orix Buffaloes held "Produce Day" in Kyocera Dome back on June 21. To celebrate, Buffaloes players were given a unique animal identity -- complete with an animal-themed jersey -- because the team was not satisfied with one-animal-fits-all, apparently.

Among others, there was a giraffe:

And a peacock:

And a ... sheep? Sure, why not:

You can watch a hype video for Produce Day here -- even if it's already passed, it'll still get you pumped.

MiLB teams, you've been put on notice.
