Big Papi and Rob Gronkowski recorded the song of the summer for this Dunkin' Donuts commercial

Smash Mouth's "All-Star." LFO's "Summer Girl." Nelly's "Hot in Herre." These were songs that defined and shaped our summers. 

David Ortiz and Rob Gronkowski just kicked it up another notch, though. In the new advertisement for Dunkin' Donuts' iced coffee, the two New England legends teamed up to release the hip-pop summer smash, "Sippin'."

Over bright and shimmering guitars and sing-spoken vocals, the song features lyrics about summer, sunshine and tandem bikes. It's a single that doesn't seem deep at first -- until you realize its subtle criticism about the need for alternate energy sources and the danger of climate change. Naw, I'm just kidding, it's about coffee!

The only other question on everyone's mind: Will this lead to bigger and better things for the duo? While they have three more iced coffee-collaborations coming up this summer, will they go the way of 2Together and use this corporate-branded masterpiece as a launching pad for a full-fledged music career? 

We can only hope.
