Some baseball players are just happy with a simple home run. You know, clearing the wall at somewhere around 350-400 feet, putting some runs on the board, high-fiving friends in the dugout.
Pedro Alvarez? He tries to hit the ball as far as he possibly can. And during Wednesday's Brewers-Pirates game, he nearly hit one into downtown Pittsburgh:
The mammoth, estimated 438-foot shot put the Pirates up 2-0 -- a lead they would never relinquish. That's just how Pedro do.
