Fireworks are the best way to celebrate anything, hands down. America's birthday? Fireworks. Your birthday? Fireworks. The birth of the New Year? Definitely fireworks. Now, can you guess how Milwaukee Brave Gene Oliver celebrated a Joe Torre homer back in July of 1965?

As you can see in the photo above, he went with sparklers, the adorable miniature cousin of fireworks. To be fair, 40 roman candles creating a portrait of Torre in mid-air probably would have been extremely unsafe in the Astrodome. Not a bad idea for this coming New Year's Eve … just in case that massive Kris Bryant fireworks display doesn't work out.
