Celebrate Christmas in July with the Lowell Spinners' ugly sweater uniforms

2014 will undoubtedly be remembered as the year of the Minor League promotional jersey -- we've already seen Ghostbusters uniforms, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles uniforms, selfie uniforms, and now, we're seeing ugly Christmas sweater uniforms.

The Lowell Spinners, Class A affiliate of the Red Sox, will hold a "Christmas Eve in July" promotional night on July 24, and the first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles will get one of these beauties:

To be fair, it's just a first draft -- there's plenty of time for the designers to make that thing even more hideous.
