Photographic evidence that Spring Training has become unstuck in time

Proof that MLB Spring Training is unstuck in time

If you check the calendar on your mobile device, it will surely tell you that it is currently 2015. But in Arizona and Florida -- where MLB teams have reported for Spring Training -- it appears that players, coaches and managers have become trapped in a tangent reality parallel to years past.

In Clearwater, Fla., it appears to be some weird version of 2007 in which Charlie Manuel has decided to personally throw some BP to reigning NL Rookie of the Year Ryan Howard.

Down in Lakeland, Fla., Tigers manager Brad Ausmus appears to have traveled back to the '80s to manage Alan Trammell in his prime.

And it's 2005 all over again for Hanley Ramirez, who reported early to Red Sox Spring Training.

The Yankees are back in time, too, as Mariano Rivera was in full uniform and shagging flies in the outfield.

Meanwhile -- in some strange iteration of 2007 -- Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youkilis are parts of the same franchise again. This time it's as instructors for the Cubs, though.

OK, OK ... we made that last one in our science laboratory. But the Cubs did just hire Manny and Youk as special hitting instructors, so consider that masterpiece a glimpse into our near baseball future.
