Phil Hughes considers a career in the fine arts

At one point, budding artist Phil Hughes put down his pencils and picked up a baseball and never looked back. But that doesn't mean the adult Hughes can't occasionally get a little nostalgic. On Saturday night, he tweeted one of his early works and contemplated what might have been:

Personally, I encourage him to pursue his hobby. I would love to see this picture of what appears to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Donatello (and his clone?) fighting a ninja that is also a thumb as a fully realized oil painting:

Surely the original Donatello would be proud.
