And for his next trick, A.J. Pollock will steal second, third and home in the same game
A.J. Pollock stole second, third and home in one game
Wednesday night was A.J. Pollock's and everyone else was just playing on it. The D-backs oufielder had himself a game as he went 3-for-4 with a walk and four runs scored.
More impressively, he managed to swipe three bags.
Even more impressively, one of those bags was third.
Most impressively one of those wasn't actually a bag ... it was home plate.
The steal of home came in the fifth inning when the Marlins thought they had David Peralta picked off at first, but actually just ended up allowing both runners to advance safely. The D-backs went on to win 6-1 and hopefully gave Pollock a game ball or cleat or something to mark the impressive showing out on those basepaths.
