Rays GM deals appendix at Deadline

Rays executive VP Andrew Friedman doesn't like to take sick days, especially when the Trade Deadline is fast approaching.

Even after he was forced to undergo an appendectomy Saturday night, Friedman continued wheeling and dealing from his hospital room on Sunday.

No word on what surgery he has planned for the Winter Meetings.
