R.B.I. Baseball 14 predicts ALCS Game 7 walk-off HR for Adam Jones, Cardinals-Orioles World Series

R.B.I. Baseball 14 predicts Cards-O's World Series

The 2014 postseason has been anything but predictable. The AL Wild Card game featuring Big Game James Shields and perennial postseason powerhouse Jon Lester was billed as a pitchers' duel, but turned out to be a 9-8 thriller.

Then the Royals upset the Angels with a sweep. The Giants came out of the NL Wild Card Game to stun the Nationals. Clayton Kershaw gave up 11 earned runs in two starts as the Cardinals upset the Dodgers.

You think left, postseason goes right, so a .500-record on predictions ain't too shabby. Ahead of Friday's Game 1 of the ALCS, we fired up the trusty simulator once more in an effort to predict who will be playing in the Fall Classic:

So, there you have it. Baseball's very own magic eightball says it will be another long October for Cardinals fans and the first Fall Classic in the history of Camden Yards.

Side Note: It predicts 13 LCS games, seven of which to be decided by one run including the Royals-Orioles Games 7. In that game, the R.B.I. Baseball 14 simulation has the Royals posting a three-run top of the ninth to tie it up at six, only to have Adam Jones launch a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth.

Brace yourselves for a long and entertaining week and a half.
