Rally Possum returns to O.co Coliseum, heralds another Oakland win
Rally Possum returns to Oakland, heralding A's win
The last time the rally possum made an appearance at the O.co Coliseum, it was heralding a walk-off win. On Saturday night, it just showed up for the "walk" part.
The little marsupial made another appearance in foul territory just as Eric Sogard was drawing his fourth walk of the night:
The Athletics would end the game with eleven total bases on balls in a 9-4 victory over the Twins.
Last week, we suggested that the possum be officially allowed to join the A's, based partly on his taste in walk-up music and partly on Jeff Samardzija's support. As you can hear in the video above, the possum has chosen yet another excellent entrance song (DJ Kool's "Let Me Clear My Throat"), and Samardzija's still on his side:
Samardzija says he needs to find this possum and give him a good name: "He likes me."

More Samardzija on possum: "He knows what he's doing. He shows up at the right times. Must have a little ego on him, which I don't mind."

The case for the #RallyPossum's membership in the A's grows stronger every day.
