Rougned Odor strikes out ... and makes it to THIRD on a dropped third strike

Rougned Odor strikes out and slides safely into third

Wednesday was a rough day for second baseman Rougned Odor. The Rangers youngster went 0-for-4 in the team's second straight loss to Ian Kinsler and the Tigers. Odor might feel a little better about this 0-fer than a typical bad game at the plate, though, because in the eighth inning (which was 8-5 Tigers at that point), Odor struck out swinging but still managed to make it to third base on the play.

After the strike-three pitch was dropped, Odor took off for first. On an errant throw from catcher Bryan Holaday, Odor was able to advance two bases and slide in safely to third thanks to a botched tag at the end of the sequence.

A strikeout's as good as a triple, right?
