Salvador Perez crashes Lorenzo Cain's interview
If you were to make a buddy comedy out of any duo in the Major Leagues, Salvador Perez and Lorenzo Cain would be an obvious top choice.
After all, the two meet the criteria exemplified by every other great comedy duo, like Laurel & Hardy, Chris Farley & David Spade and Walter Matthau & Jack Lemmon:
One is the goofy cutup and the other is the straight man.
Friday saw that comic talent reemerge as Perez crashed Cain's photo day interview and forced the speedy outfielder to admit, through heavy sighs, "Yes, we love Salvy so much."
Cain was even willing to give Perez a hug -- on camera, no less.
You can and should watch the entire love-filled interview in the video up top. And, honestly, isn't it time that Hollywood re-made Tommy Boy and made these two the stars?
