Selling lemonade in the desert: It's an art form

If you’ve spent any time at Chase Field, you’ve probably heard Derek Moore’s boisterous voice echoing throughout the stadium.

“Lemonade, lemonade like grandma made!” shouts Moore, as he walks the aisles with cotton candy and chilled cups in hand. “You know you want it!”

Moore has sold gameday treats at stadiums across the Valley of the Sun for the past 27 years. He's hawked a wide variety of concessions during his career, but a passion for selling lemonade provides a memorable aspect aspect of the ballpark atmosphere.

“I’ve always had a hook for whatever I sold,” Moore said. "And the first day I sold lemonade, it just came to me.”

And when he speaks with the fans, his infectious smile and personable attitude are never far behind.
