Shaq doesn't know who Mariano Rivera is

Shaquille O'Neal is a busy man. When he wasn't busy winning four NBA Championships, making 15 NBA All-Star Games, winning an MVP and breaking backboards, he was making it rain cheeseburgers and trying to rescue Nezu from the evil mummy Sett-Ra. 

So, it's understandable that the big fella might not be well-versed in the goings on of other professional sports or pop culture franchises.

Now a basketball analyst for Inside the NBA, Shaq gets paid to be entertaining while talking about basketball. He nailed the entertaining part on Tuesday as he confused a pierogi for a kielbasa and forgot who Mariano Rivera is.

See, back when Rivera hurt his knee shagging balls during BP two years ago, the Inside the NBA folks sent him a "get well soon" note that Shaq signed. But, when Shaq bumped into Mo in New York on Tuesday, he couldn't remember who he was. So, Shaq told his co-hosts that he saw "Raphael Nugero."

Obviously confused, the Inside the NBA guys eventually determined that Shaq was just having his Adele Dazeem moment. They proceeded to have a bit of fun at the big guy's expense and we're all the better for it.
