Don't look now, but Shin-Soo Choo just hit for the cycle

Shin-Soo Choo just hit for the cycle

Entering this week's series against the Rockies, Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo had hit 128 MLB home runs. Sadly, none of those home runs came in a game when Choo also hit a single, double and a triple.

Then Tuesday happened.

Choo notched a second-inning RBI double, a fourth-inning home run and an RBI single in the fifth, leaving himself four innings for a shot at the most elusive portion of the cycle. After a groundout in the seventh, there was a chance that Choo's spot in the lineup wouldn't come back around, but his teammates rallied and gave him one last shot and wouldn't ya know ...

For the 24th time in his 11-year career, Choo tripled. He's the second player to hit for the cycle in 2015 (Brock Holt beat him to it). Choo's also the first Ranger to do it since Alex Rios in 2013 and just the ninth to accomplish it in franchise history.
