Terry Francona knows there's only one way to react to Hector Santiago kissing his head
Japan Series team bonding: Kissing Francona's head
Don't try to understand why Angels pitcher Hector Santiago kissed Terry Francona's head on the flight to Okinawa for their last exhibition match in the Japan Series.
For one, Santiago says it was for a dare, for team bonding. But also because it's best to be Francona: Simply take the world as it comes, reclined in your plush airplane seat, with a tranquil smile on your face.
Why was this a dare? Maybe there's just something about baseball players and other people's heads. Maybe kissing Francona's head is good luck. Maybe, maybe -- who knows. We may never know. And that's OK.
