The Dodgers will hold a Babe Ruth bobblehead day next season
The Dodgers released their 2014 promotional schedule last week, and along with bobblehead giveaways for Yasiel Puig, Clayton Kershaw and Hyun-Jin Ryu, fans can also get their hands on a Babe Ruth figurine in September.
Yes, the Bambino actually donned Brooklyn's threads in 1938 as the team's first-base coach. It was just a year after he retired from playing and ended up being his last professional involvement in the sport. Ruth quit at season's end. A cool connection, indeed.
