This is what happens when a human tries to hit a robot's 186 mph fastball
Japanese player tries to hit 186 mph fastball
If this video out of Japan is any indication of how the Robot Wars of the future will go, we'd better get the world's best scientists in a lab trying to clone John Connor, like, yesterday.
Former Nippon Pro Baseball home run champion Takashi Yamasaki recently appeared on a Japanese TV show and was asked to stand in the batter's box and try to hit a fastball off a pitching machine ... set at 186 mph.
Go ahead and skip to the 3:40 mark to see him give it a go.
In case you were wondering how he fared, Yamasaki couldn't even take his bat of his shoulder. In fact, all he could really accomplish was stumbling back and giggling at how impossible it was.
Machines: 1, Humans: 0. We'd better get to work, folks.
