Vanderbilt tops CSU Fullerton on the first walk-off homer at the College World Series in six years
Vandy wins on first CWS walk-off since 2009
Cal State Fullerton's round one matchup against Vanderbilt in the 2015 College World Series was the Titans' first CWS game since 2009. Unfortunately for them, it ended on the first walk-off home run in the CWS since … 2009. And it was not hit by the Titans.

The game, which began on Sunday and was suspended after 6 2/3 innings, ended Monday afternoon when Commodores freshman Jeren Kendall launched a ball over the right-field fence into the Titians' bullpen, giving Vanderbilt the win, 4-3. Somehow, we don't think Kendall will be treated like a freshman too much longer.
Fullerton entered the final 2 1/3 innings on Monday with a 3-0 lead, but Monday was not as kind as Sunday. And it just so happened that two things that hadn't occurred in six years would coincide.
And certain MLB-ers were pretty excited about it:
