Dane De La Rosa discovers injured bird, nurses it back to health
Angels reliever Dane De La Rosa is a sensitive soul. During the third inning of Thursday's Angels-Athletics game, the right-hander discovered an injured bird in the visiting bullpen at O.co Coliseum.
Fearing for its health and safety, he picked up the bird and proceeded to carry it to the clubhouse where, presumably, he aided in its recovery.
According to his Twitter, De La Rosa named his new avian friend Randy and he turned out to be just fine:
Randy, my pigeon friend is aright.

Fellow Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson gave his own medical update, saying De Le Rosa medically cleared the bird for release back into the wild, thus ending a truly beautiful friendship.
Oh and got the story from @Daner13 - he moved the pigeon to safety outside near the parking lot. What a guy!
