Cute4: Padres fan executes perfect ricochet catch, makes adorable child's day

This catch, from Tuesday's D-backs-Padres game, is about as close to the Platonic ideal of a fan catch as you'll ever see -- not necessarily for its athleticism, but for the sum of its events.

The foul ball ricochets high, but this fan ranges to his left to make the grab mid-stride, taking his celebration to the aisle and greeting his adoring public.

But to top off his excellent reflexes, this guy seeks out the nearest kid to hand off the foul ball in the perfect example of ballpark etiquette.

There are a lot of awesome fan catches out there, but this one fills out the rubric perfectly. A+ work, dude.
