Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard almost threw out a great first pitch -- almost

San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard made a name for himself duirng the 2013 NBA Finals for being able to adequately defend LeBron James, arguably the greatest basketball player in the world. Not a lot of people can put that particular accolade on their resume, making Leonard a pretty unique player.

He also did this.

And yet, give the man a baseball and -- well, you watched the video up there. That's his first pitch from Saturday's Yankees-Padres matchup.

Is it as bad as John Wall's and Denard Robinson's ceremonial offerings? No. But he does commit the cardinal sin of bouncing it on the plate. Maybe he, like Wall, can practice and get a shot one day at first pitch redemption.
