LSU eliminated from College World Series, shows off incredible defensive prowess anyway
LSU shows off defense in College World Series
Though Louisiana State fell to Texas Christian University, 8-4, in Thursday's College World Series matchup, LSU has much to be proud of. They might not be advancing to the next round, but the Tigers have at least one defensive highlight so fantastic, it should be bronzed and displayed at the Met for 10,000 years:

Are you sufficiently astonished by LSU shortstop Alex Bregman? So were the Astros -- earlier this month, they selected him with the second overall pick in the Draft.
But that's not all. Pitcher Doug Norman pulled off this incredibly slick move that we might as well go ahead and add to the bronzing order:

You know what? Let's make it a triptych and add outfielder Mark Laird's home run-robbing catch too:

Thanks, LSU. Though you may not have won the ultimate prize, you gave us these brilliant works of art, and we couldn't be more thankful.
