This Cubs fan's giant and amazing mohawk was nine years in the making

Amazing Cub's fan mohawk took nine years to grow

Some fans buy a T-shirt or jersey to show off their fandom. Others get a tattoo. Some even buy a coffin. All of that is easy. Especially the coffin -- all you have to do is lie down.

But then there are those who really work at showing off their team pride. Like Cubs fan Kevin Jackson:

That mohawk's like a Cubs-flavored mix of Bebop and a stegasaurus.

Jackson, who is only 14 years old, has been growing his 20-inch mohawk since he was five years old. That commitment to hair excellence is longer than many marriages. It takes his mother an hour and a half to color in the impeccable Cubs logo with Halloween makeup.

While the Guinness World Record for a mohawk is 44 inches, Jackson said that he's aiming for 50. Since the hair grows approximately six inches every year, we'll have to check back in five years to see if he's done it. By that point, Jackson may be an obstructed view seat all on his own.
